Daniel Telford is a 2008 OF with a 5'10'', 185 lb. frame from Newmarket, ON who attends Huron Heights SS. He has a medium frame with good present strength. Telford showed good run/throw tools in the outfield, running the 60 in 7.13 and showing a very strong and accurate throwing arm. His fielding fundamentals are polished and sound. Telford is a left handed hitter who starts from a quiet, balanced stance with his weight and hands back. His swing is a bit long but he was direct to the ball and showed bat control and the ability to hit the ball to all fields. Telford has some strength and can get the ball out to the gaps when he is aggressive in his swing. He tends to slow down his bat and feel for the ball on off speed pitches.
