Jared McLean is a 5'8", 2005 infielder from Lake Wales, FL. He has a balanced set of tools and skills and profiles to second base in the future. He hits from a no stride approach at the plate that doesn’t incorporate much lower body, but he has quick hands and an aggressive approach. McLean lined a few hits during game competition and looked more comfortable against game competition than in batting practice. McLean glides to the ball smoothly on defense and has good overall actions and plenty enough arm strength to make all the plays. He has nice hands and carries himself well on the ball field. Jared is a very good student.
