Jake Wilson is 2005 right handed pitcher/first baseman from Corpus Christi Texas with a strong medium build at 6 ft. 0 185 pounds. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a balanced delivery, and a long arm action. He showed good arm quickness with a clean finish. His fastball topped out at 87 mph with good run. He showed very good action and sharpness on his 72 mph curveball. His change showed decent sink at 76 mph. He also threw a knuckle-curve that was very deceptive at times with good movement at 71 mph. At the plate, he shows good raw bat speed, and the potential to hit for power. He gets good extension through the ball with a long swing plane. He showed good command of all 4 pitches and will be a top pitcher at the next level. Jake is a good student.
