Ian MacGeorge is a 2007 OF/3B with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Altamonte Springs FL, who attends Bishop Moore HS. He has tall, athletic frame with wiry strength and good projection. MacGeorge is a very good runner for his size, with 6.86 speed and an easy, flowing running stride. He lists himself as a primary outfielder but took infield drills in the infield. He has athletic actions as a third baseman and a quick release but will struggle making throws at the next level. His speed and athletic ability profile him better as an outfielder at this point. Offensively, MacGeorge hits out of a spread stance and maintains very good balance and direction during his swing. He uses his core strength to generate bat speed and makes solid line drive pull contact. MacGeorge has a nice looking swing that should continue to improve as he gets stronger; shortening up some would provide immediate benefit. Overall, MacGeorge is a quality athlete who has some upside to his abilities. He is also a very good student.

Ian MacGeorge is a 2007 3B/OF from Bishop Moore HS in Maitland, FL with a 6'4", 190 lb. frame. Ian has a tall athletic build with soom room to fill out. At the plate Ian has good potential for the next level. He has good leverage in his swing and pop in his swing when he stays back on the ball. His swing is the best when he is driving the ball up the middle. Ian could project as an outfielder or an infielder at the next level, but he looked a little better as a corner outfielder. In the outfield Ian moves well (7.32) and has good carry on this throws. In the infield Ian fields the ball cleanly but is not as smooth on his transfers. Ian plays for a top-notch high school program and will be a mid to high-level Division I prospect.

MacGeorge is a 6-4, 175 lb third baseman from Florida with a slender frame and long levers. He ran the 60 in 7.03, good speed for his size and build, and threw 76 mph across the diamond. MacGeorge has long actions defensively and may be better suited physically for a corner outfield spot or first base. At the plate, MacGeorge hits from a wide stance with no stride, limited load and little use of his lower body. It’s not a power type approach but MacGregor showed us impressive power both in games, where he hit a couple of doubles, and in batting practice. He has nice lift in his swing and is only going to develop more power as he fills out his frame and learns to incorporate his lower half into his swing. MacGeorge is a very strong student.

Ian MacGeorge is a 2007 third baseman from Bishop Moore HS in Maitland, FL, with a 6'4", 175 lb. frame. He has a very projectable body with good present tools. He is a very good runner with speed in the sixty, as well as showing good game quickness. Defensively he has solid arm strength with good hands, but his footwork is still developing and he has the athleticism to make that a strength. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a wide stance and very good bat speed. He has present college power with good hand strength, and the ball jumps off his bat. MacGeorge hits the ball hard from gap to gap, and will be driving balls out of the park with regularity in the future. He has a good overall skill set, with the athleticism and body to get even better. He is a must follow, and is an excellent student as well.
