Craig Wilson is a 2011 C/3B with a 5'7'', 145 lb. frame from Biloxi, MS who attends Biloxi HS. He is very young and has a small, lean frame. Wilson showed very good arm strength for his age, throwing 70 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.27. His release is still long, as you would expect, but he shows promise behind the plate. Offensively, Wilson has a busy set up and takes a hard aggressive swing at the ball, usually pulling off on contact. His best contact is opposite field and he has strong hands at contact. He's still very young and will improve his pitch recognition and balance with more experience. Wilson's overall skill set is raw but he has athletic body life, good tools and good aggressiveness. He should keep improving.
