John Peters is a 2008 RHP/1B with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Milan, IL who attends Alleman Catholic HS. Nice pitcher's build, good strength. Shoulder tilt in delivery, long/low arm circle, needs adjustments in mechanics. FB 77-78 mph, mostly straight. Good CB shape, some depth, fair spin, some feel for change. Around zone, mixes things up. Stuff can improve. Good student.

John Peters is a 2008 RHP/1B with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame from Milan, IL who attends Alleman Catholic HS. He has a good athletic frame with some present strength. Peters throws with a big back turn delivery and lands closed, never opening up his hips and getting his lower body involved. His fastball was mostly 73 mph and straight. Peters opened up a couple of times by accident and his fastball jumped from 73 to 78 mph immediately. If he could made some pretty basic adjustments in his delivery he might be throwing low 80's in about five minutes. Peters curveball with his closed delivery was soft and loose at 61 mph. It's pretty basic what he needs to do and it looks like he has some hidden talent. Peters is a good student off the field.
