Wesley Houser is a 2009 RHP with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends South Doyle HS. He has a wide shouldered build with long arms and a slender trunk. Houser has a free wheeling delivery with a full arm circle and a loose arm. His normal release point was 3/4's but he dropped down to mid 3/4's at times and had better stuff with the lower release point. Houser's fastball topped out at 83 mph and it had very good to excellent running action at times. His curveball was in the upper 60's and had nice sharpness and a big, deep bite at times, especially at lower velocities. Houser's change up had the same type of running action as his fastball. He has a live arm and three solid pitches, with more velocity to come as he gets stronger. Good follow. Houser is also a good student.
