Gavin Johnson is a 2008 OF/UT with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Catoosa, OK who attends Catoosa. Gavin has a lean and athletic frame with some present strength. He hits from a closed stance, and showed decent pop. He does a good job getting leverage from his lower half, and can get some lift on the ball when he uses that lower half. He hustles out of the box every time, and has usable speed on the bases. He ran a 7.21 sixty during the workout, and showed good instincts on the bases. Defensively he is an athlete with good footwork and range. He makes a quick transfer and exchange, and has soft hands. He is a high effort thrower across the mound with armspeed. His top throw from the outfield was 81 mph, with a top effort across the infield of 75 mph.
