Brandon Lawing is a 2010 3B/IF/OF with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Grissom HS. He has a lean build with some wiry strength. Lawing is a good runner for his age at 7.18 in the 60. He's a good looking young hitter who has some quickness and strength in his hands and a very good approach to hitting. Lawing is a patient hitter but has the ability to explode on the ball aggressively when he sees his pitch. He has a pull and lift type mentality and shows good power already that should continue to develop as he gets stronger. He pulls the ball hard without getting off balance or off line to the ball. Lawing also shows good hustle and instincts on the bases. His bat has a chance to be pretty good. Defensively, Lawing has a short arm action and some carry to his throws with developing arm strength. He is a good student.
