Gerard Conzentino is a 2007 LHP/OF from Seton Hall Prep in Livingston, NJ, with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame. He has a medium build that can add some strength in the future. Conzentino throws from a fast paced delivery with a short, quick arm action and a high 3/4's release point. His somewhat frenetic delivery gives him good deception to the hitter. Conzentino's fastball was up to 75 mph and had cutting action occasionally. His 60 mph curveball was a good pitch that left handed hitters had trouble picking up. Conzentino's 67 mph change up was also a nice pitch. He used all three pitches well and changed speeds with some purpose and polish. Conzentino should pick up some velocity with maturity and his pitching style looks difficult to hit, especially if you haven't seen him pitch before. Conzentino is also a good student.

Conzentino is a young 2007 prospect from the strong Seton Hall Prep program in New Jersey. He has a slender frame, especially in the upper half, and has not really begun to physically mature. Conzentino throws from a high ¾’s release point with a short arm action in back that he has trouble repeating at this point. His fastball was in the 73-74 mph range. Conzentino’s best pitch was a 62-64 mph change up that he had some feel for and that had some sinking action. He also threw a 55-59 mph curveball. Conzentino showed a good pickoff move that had runners moving around very tentatively. More strength will definitely help Conzentino gain the velocity he needs to take the next step. He’s a solid student.
