Chris Coutros is a 2008 RHP/3B from Colts Neck HS, residing in Freehold, New Jersey, with a 5'11"/170 pound frame. Chris has a lean frame. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action and repeats his delivery. Coutros is a little stiff in his deliveryand has some effort. He has a straight fastball at 81 mph and a curveball at 68 mph that needs t be sharper. Coutros throws strikes and fields his position well. He hits from a straight stance with a small stride and looks to pull the ball. He has a line drive swing plane and solid hands at the plate. Coutros needs to use his lower half more when he hits. He has long arm action across the infield with a solid release at 73 mph. Chris has solid feet and range defensively and would be better if he attacked the ball. He is a good student.
