Dusty Wilson is a 2008 C/IF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westwood. Dusty has a medium frame with broad shoulders and present strength in his upper half. He is a hard working defensive catcher who receives and blocks well. His feet are coming and his pop time will really improve as his footwork continues its development. His arm works behind the plate and his throws are online and flash carry. At the plate he hits from an open stance with a high hand set that starts away from his body, and he has an aggressive approach. He's a rotational swinger and he does a good job keeping his weight back. He has usable speed on the bases and is a smart baserunner. Dusty is also a good student.
