2003 South Top Prospect Showcase
As just a junior in High School Biery is an underclassman SS that showed some outstanding ability and tools. He ran a 7.19 which he uses very well. He showed nice actions that will play at 3B if not SS down the road. His arm strength was excellent at 87 mph and at 6 foot 1 and 160 pounds he appears to have a lot more power to come with the arm and the bat. With the wood he showed small signs of dragging the bat through the zone as he dropped his hands a little but there is a good looking swing after that. He hit a few line drives that showed the potential is there for some power. Off live pitching he smacked one ball up the middle that came off in impressive fashion. He is a very good 05 prospect that might even end up on the hill with that outstanding arm. .
