David Paul is a 2008 1B/OF/3B with a 6'5'', 185 lb. frame from Poway, California, who attends Poway High School. Paul has an extra large frame that is very projectable. Defensively he has solid actions at first base with solid footwork and hands. He has long arm action on his throws that were gunned at 75 mph across the infield. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an open stance. He uses a short stride, and he leans back on his back leg. Paul shows bat speed at times, and he has a slight lift swing plane.
