He pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long extended arm action. He has good arm speed and pitches with some effort. Roque has a balanced delivery and repeats well. He gets some sink on his fastball and spots it well. Roque throws an 11/5 slider with tight spin and sharp break to it. He has good feel for his slider and threw it for strikes. He also throws a good change up with sink and run on it. It has deception as he maintains his arm speed well throwing his change up. Roque showed good pitchability and threw all 3 pitches for strikes.

Felix Roque is a 2009 RHP with a 6'5'', 200 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Christian HS. Rogue has a tall, lanky projectable build and uses a low 3/4 arm slot. He easily sat 88-90 with his fastball with very good plus life at the Metrodome. He had a sharp slider with depth and also used a change up. He really projects off the charts and is a very interesting 2009 for crosscheckers to put on their follow list. He should continue to add velocity. He just keeps getting better everytime we see him.

Felix Roque is a 2009 RHP with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Miami, Florida, who attends Miami Christian High School. Felix has a well developed tall athletic build. He has great potential on the mound and could be one of the top pitchers in his area over the next few years. Felix throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with great run and sink on his fastball. While his fastball can be dominant at times Felix will need to work on developing his off-speed pitches. He gets under his SL too much at times and the pitches will flatten out. Felix has great potential on the mound and will attract the attention of the highest-level college programs over the next few years.

Felix Roque is a 2009 RHP with a 6'4'', 200 lb. frame from Miami FL, who attends Gulliver Prep. He has a tall, athletic body and some present strength. Roque was held back a year in school last year so he's physically a bit more developed than most 2009's. On the mound, Roque throws with a long, whippy arm action and generates some arm speed. His arm works well and there is definitely some projection there on his velocity. Roque's fastball was mostly 79-82 mph and topped out at 84 mph. He threw a slurve type breaking ball at 69-72 mph that had inconsistent spin and break to it. Roque had lots of problems repeating his delivery and release point, which is why his curveball and fastball velocity was inconsistent, along with his command. We've seen him with better raw stuff and better mechanics in the past and he has the ability to show much better when he gets things smoothed out.

Felix Roque is a 2008 right handed pitcher from Miami, FL with a great projectable pitchers body at 6-3, 180 lbs. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a loose easy arm action. He has very clean mechanics and he gets good extension out front and the ball comes out of his hand well. He has a smooth arm action in back and it is quick to the release point. His fastball tops at 82 mph with good hand side movement. His slider shows a tight late break at 71 mph. His change shows good deception with the same arm speed and slight sink. He shows very good pitchability for his age and he will only get better as he matures. He is a very solid pitching prospect to follow for 2008. This kid could will be something special, he profiles in a big way.
