Eric Massingham is a 2005 right handed pitcher from Benicia, California, with a very strong body and big frame. At 6'2", 205 lbs., he has a durable work horse type build. Massingham has a real good looking arm that is very quick with late action on his fastball that topped out at 88 mph. We usually see 90-92 out of Massingham. He threw a true slider with late break, and kept it away from right handed hitters. He is aggressive and comes at the hitters early and often with no fear in him. Massingham will have a brilliant college career if he chooses to go that way. He also has the potential to be a high draft either next June, or out of college. Eric is a very good student.

Eric Massingham is a solid strong 6'2/205 RHP from Benicia, CA. Massingham threw a quiet and efficient two innings at Tropicana, mixing a live 89-92 mph fastball with a hard biting 77 mph curveball. He’s a mature bodied young right hander with an equally mature and confident approach to pitching. He comes over the top and really has a great feel for pitching. He shows excellent command of everything he throws. He can be a star pitcher at the very highest levels of college baseball. He should get some serious early pick consideration in next June's draft as well. We have seen him a lot and he's always been very consistent and impressive. Eric is a very good student. He was selected to the AFLAC All American Team.

Massingham is definitely one of the top pitching prospects in the "05" class. He is a well built strong 6'2/200 RHP with a special arm. There might be a few who will throw harder, but they throw and Massingham pitches. He showed in Lincoln a MLB ave. fastball, a very good 2-plane curveball and an excellent changeup. He shows command and the ability to change speeds on these pitches. This kid is a special talent that kind of reminds one of a surgeon on the mound. He willl end up being a plus life, plus heater guy with three plus pitches. MLB scouts will follow his progress very closely, as well they should, for the next couple years. Massingham could pitch effectively right now in high level college ball. He will be recruited extremely heavy by most all major college powers. Eric is an excellent student.

One of the best "05" RHP with a strong body and a very good arm. Has a chance to be one of the very best before he graduates from high school. Mostly 86 velocity in Ft Myers, but he has thrown better and will throw in the 90s before long. His arm works very well. Good mid 70s breaking ball and good changeup. He knows how to pitch. Top "05" prospect with a great future.
