Greene is a 6 foot 2 right-hander from California who has a good looking and projectable body. Just 165 pounds now, we can imagine how much stronger he will be in a year or even two. He comes from a 3/4 arm slot and showed 78 - 80 mph velocity with his fastball. He complimented that with a curveball that varied from 64 - 70 mph and it was tough for hitters to get the bat on. The fastball was Greenes best pitch mainly because he had better command of it and we think the curve has as much potential after seeing the 70 mph version a couple times. His arm works well and it is just another indication of how nicely he projects on the mound. Follow him because this winter we expect to see some of the strength gains that makes him so interesting.
