Zachary Robins is a 2009 MIF with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Westford, MA who attends Salisbury. He has a smaller frame with some developing strength. Robins has second base actions on defense, with quick feet and a quick release on his throws. He has good arm strength for a second baseman and gets the job done. He's a left handed hitting middle infielder, which is always a plus. We've seen Robins at other events and he has a crisp, line drive swing that produces consistent hard contact to all fields. He has a good coil to get his swing started and good balance at the ball. Robins got longer at this event trying to lift the ball and that's not in his hitting package, at least not with wood in a big ball park against good pitching. He has some hitting tools when he stays short and quick.
