Cimchener has an athletic build with sloping shoulders, a switch hitter, from the right side, hits from a medium base, good bat speed, has some power, from the left side, same medium base, line drive bat path, good solid contact, early stride, gets foot down, uses all fields, had a opposite field double during the games, ball jumped off bat. Chad Michener is a 2010 2B/P with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Ojai CA, who attends Nordhoff HS. Chad has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. At the plate Chad has a quiet approach with a high hand set. The ball leaves his bat well, but Chad really needs too work on shortening up his swing at the plate. Once he gets his hands inside the ball more he will see a much more consistent approach at the plate. In the field Chad has solid actions with good hands and footwork. His arm best plays at second base now, but could move around the infield as his arm gets stronger. On the mound Chad has a short arm action with good life on his fastball. He does a good job of making hitters put the ball in play, but needs to tone down his delivery some. Chad is a solid student that could attract the attention of many small to mid-level college programs in a few years.
