Grant is a slick fielding shortstop who has shown a steady improvement in his tools and ability. He has a good body that will project nicely well after High School and we have seen major strides in his game over the past year. He showed some of the best shortstop actions in the event, ran a 7.02 in the 60 and threw an easy 76 mph across the infield. In fact, his arm will play at the next level as a shortstop. His bat showed a level and smooth swing plane and he hit every pitcher he faced. His bat-speed is good and will play at the College level with Alumnum. Grant also took the hill showing 80-83 mph velocity on his fastball, a fast arm and showed good usage from his body. His curveball was 65-71 mph with a nice break and his change-up is a very good one at 68-70 mph. He has a lot to offer and appears to be one of the more projectable unsigned position players in the Midwest.

Grant is a primary position infielder who also pitches for his High School. He is a 6 foot 170 pound right-hander who has made strides in his arm strength and pitching ability in the past year. He showed 79-82 mph velocity on his fastball and gets good usage from his body with his delivery. His arm is fast and he rotates late showing a good tight overall package with his mechanics. He showed a curveball that sat in the 68-70 mph range and a very good change-up that was clocked between 71-73 mph. He kept his fastball on the low corners and mixed all his pitches well. He filled the zone while at the same time showed nothing down the middle. He is the starting shortstop at his High School and has been getting stronger with the bat also. He will be a major contributor in many ways for his High School program and is getting College interest right now as a second baseman. If he gets the regularly scheduled starts on the mound this spring and increases his velocity, he might draw attention from a small College in that role as well.

Grant is a good player with nice smooth actions. He needs to get stronger and his entire game will improve dramatically. Nice arm, good hands and he shows hitting potential. His running times, arm strength and hitting ability will all improve with more strength. Keep an eye on him.

Ryan has a great attitude and likes to play the game. He is solid infielder with decent actions. He is contact hitter with little power but as he gets stronger he should continue to improve. Ryan is definitely a player to watch over the next few years
