Drew Geissinger is a 6'2" 180 pound 2007 third baseman and middle infielder from North Hunterdon High School in Asbury, New Jersey. He has an angular projectable frame with good athleticism. At the plate, he has a quiet set up with a tall open stance. He doesn’t use much of a load or stride and stays back very well on off speed pitches. Drew is a gap to gap hitter who makes solid line drive contact. He is very balanced in his swing and keeps his strong hands inside the ball. He generates good bat speed and likes the ball down in the zone where he can drop the head of the bat on it. Geissinger has good arm strength as well. He threw 81 mph across the infield during the workout. His throws were accurate with good carry. With his soft smooth hands, he is very solid in the field. He also showed good base running instincts by getting an excellent jump on a stolen base during the game. Drew is a very aggressive hitter with good fielding skills and is also a very good student with a 3.75 gpa.
