Bignall is a strong, physically mature third baseman that we’ve seen play at a number of events over the years. His best tool is his bat. Bignall is a bit long with his hands to the ball but generates very good bat speed and the ball jumps fast on contact. He projects to hit with some serious power down the road and should be a real strong college hitter. Bignall is also a very solid defensive third baseman. We liked his sure hands and good balanced actions on ground balls. His arm strength is a tick below the big league average level but very playable for a Division 1 third baseman. He has improved his running ability too. Drew is a good student.

Bignall is a solid 2-way player from Minnesota as a pitcher and a corner infielder. He has a solid build at 6 foot tall and 200 pounds. He showed good use out of his strong legs and his delivery combines a good drive with a relatively short stride. Not a typical combination but it works for him. His arm works very well and from a 3/4 arm slot it takes a quick and fluid path. He showed command of his best pitch, his fastball. His fastball showed consistent 82-84 mph with good location. He threw mostly fastballs and has a lot of confidence in that pitch but also showed briefly his curveball at 69-72 mph and a sinker. The curve took a 2-plane path and looked very promising. His sinker was interesting at 75-77 mph with good downward action. With the bat, Bignall showed that he can hit. He has a big swing and a strong upper body but kept his head quiet as he drives through the ball hard. He gets good usage from his hips, pivots his back foot and swings down on the ball from a high load position. He showed some good power with several hits and we saw the ball come off his wood bat very fast. We've always liked him as a hitter and that could be his ticket at the next level.

Bignall shows a strong arm and even throws mid 80s from the mound. We really like the way the ball jumps off his wood bat at an alarming speed. He's a line drive hitter who is strong enough to hit line drives out of the park with wood.

Bignall is a very strong P/1B who has a chance on the mound, but his bat is easily his top tool at this time. He has plus raw power potential. He hits a lot of balls real hard and deep. The wood bat makes a sweet cracking sound. You can hear Bignall hit, even if your looking the other way.

We've seen Bignall much better in the past. He has legitimate MLB power potential. The ball jumps off his bat.

Bignall is a good looking player that showed us he has 2-way potential. He pitched well showing an 82-84 mph fastball with fairly good life, a good change-up and the makings of an effective 12-6 curve. In BP he hit some lasers and showed us some very good power. His swing was quick and he finished in a good, high position.

Drew is good underclassmen pitcher who keeps getting better. His fastball topped at 84 this fall but his arm works easy. He should throw harder once he matures. His curve has good bite and he can throw if for a strike. He's only an 04 watch out. He could develop into a top '04' in the national rankings.
