We have seen Miller better than he showed at the Midwest showcase, on numerous occasions. He is a hard throwing right-hander with good powerful mechanics that squeezes everything out of his delivery. He threw lots of strikes as he normally does and his velocity was 86-89 topping out at 91. He has been scouted by our staff before where he never threw a pitch under 90mph, touching 93-94. When he is on, his ball jumps out of his hand. He also showed his curveball between 71-74 mph and it has a nice sharp break on it. He mixes speeds well and the ball got on the batters in the Midwest showcase fast. He is committed to Indian Hills and if the draft is not where he chooses to sign he should have a productive year in College.

We have seen Miller pitch numerous times and he showed this winter, in the indoor showcase, that he will be as impressive as expected when the spring comes around. He is a 6 foot right-hander that has a power arm out of a sound mechanical delivery from a high 3/4 arm slot. He gets much of his power from a very late rotating body and finishes strong. He showed consistent 88-89 mph velocity on every fastball and is already spinning a Major League curveball in mid-season form. He showed low 70's velocity with his curveball and a good spin. He lacked the out front release on his curve as he showed a slight tendency to leave it higher than we are used to seeing. In the month preceeding the start of the PG Scout League season he will have time to continue bullpens and return to the 90-94 mph velocity and commanding curveball that we have seen in the Fall. If he continues to pitch the way he is capable, he could end up being yet another draft pick the PG wood bat league produces. He has signed with Indian Hills CC. making him even more attractive for the draft.

We have seen Miller throw in the 90s up to 94 nearly every time we've seen him pitch. He has a lightning fast arm and features a pretty darn good breaking ball. He's not the tallest guy out there, but he is a power pitcher. If he were 2 inches taller, he would be an early pick. He might end up being one anyway. He can pitch anywhere in the country.

Miller is for real. Nearly everytime we see him he's at 90 or better with life. You would think top DI programs will soon be all over him.

FB84-91, CB69-71, CH78-80, big arm and really uses his hips well at the plate and on the mound. Good hitter, but know one will care because this kid is a potential big time power pitcher with outstanding command. We expect his velocity to increase even more over the next year and we've already seen him in the 90's several times.

Adam is one of the top 2003 kids for Iowa. He topped out at 91 this fall. His mechanics are good and his breaking shows good bite at times. Adam is a definite follow for next year and should continue to get better with his good work ethic.
