Ricky Leachy is a 2009 RHP/3B/2B with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Brookfield, Wisconsin, who attends Brookfield Central High School. He has a medium frame with an athletic look. On the mound he throws from a lower 3/4 arm slot, with a short arm circle on the back side. Leachy's fastball gets sink at 80 mph, while working at 76-79 mph. He throws a knuckle curve ball with sharpness, late bite and depth at 67 mph. His change-up is also a good pitch as he maintains his arm speed. He has good upside on the mound. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a simple swing. He uses a leg lift trigger and shows bat speed through the hitting zone. He has a line drive swing plane making consistent contact. Leachy has the ability to hit to all fields, and should hit for a solid average. Good upside both ways, and he is a good student as well.

Ricky Leachy is a 2009 RHP/3B/SS with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Brookfield WI, who attends Brookfield Central HS. He has a medium build with good body life and strength for his age. Leachy has a multi-part delivery with high elbows during his wind up and a elevated front side that he lowers to come through to a mid 3/4's release point. He has good direction to the plate and his arm comes through loosely and smoothly. Leachy's fastball had lots of running and boaring life to it at 79-81 mph, most of it well in front of the plate. He threw his fastball consistently inside to right handed hitters and could have trouble getting to the outer half with his delivery. Leachy's best secondary pitch was his change up, which he turned over with similar action to his fastball. His release point makes it difficult to get over a curveball consistently and he might be better off throwing a slider. Leachy was aggressive in the strike zone and challenged hitters. He has the tools to develop further and should be followed. Leachy is also a good student.
