Devin Miranda is a 2008 C/3B with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Dixon CA, who attends Dixon High School. He has a strong, physically mature body. Miranda looks like he should be able to hit and he can, which is certainly a positive attribute to have as a catcher. His strengths are his physical strength and bat speed, which combine to give him present day power. He is the younger brother of another player that has hit quite a bit at the juco level in California, so hitting runs in the family. Miranda has a simple, see it and hit it approach. He has decent timing and showed some bat control. The ball exits his bat well, with some loft/carry power. He is the type of hitter that fits well in an RBI spot in a line-up. Miranda has a decent transfer and just might be able to become an adequate thrower from behind the plate. His feet are a bit heavy and agility is not a strength. His bat will fit at any corner position he shows the ability to play. Additionally, Miranda is a very strong student.
