Rodriguez is a 5-11, 160 lb infielder from Michigan with a slender body. He’s a member of the 2007 class. Rodriguez ran the 60 in 7.81 and threw 62 mph during infield drills with an unusual side arm slinging action. Rodriguez hits out of a tall stance with high hands and is a slap hitter who is looking to make contact. He did hit a nice double during one of the showcase games but must add plenty of strength before he can develop real bat speed. Rodriguez is listed as a switch hitter but only batted right handed during the showcase.
