Miguel Rivera is a 2007 OF/P with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from San Lorenzo PR, who attends PR Baseball Academy HS. He has a loose, athletic build on a medium frame. Rivera showed a loose, easy arm from the outfield during drills, with good balance and fundamentals and good on line accuracy. He's a 7.25 runner in the 60. Rivera hits out of a spread, balanced stance and high hand set. He made solid line drive contact to all fields and has a quick, compact swing. Rivera will hit around the ball at times but has a nice swing that should develop further with more strength. Rivera also took a turn on the mound and his arm strength and smooth arm action translated well to the mound. He has smooth pitching mechanics and hides the ball well, which make his pitches more deceptive. Rivera's fastball topped out at 85 mph with some late running live. His change up was very good at times, with the same type of late run as his fastball. He also a nice slider. Rivera mixed his pitches well and showed nice pitchability. Rivera is a nice 2-way prospect who should continue to develop.
