Jesse Burba is a 2008 IF/P from Port Chester HS, residing in Port Chester, New York, with a 6'0"/190 pound frame. Jesse has a lean and athletic frame. He hits from a slightly open stance and closes well. Burba has solid bat speed and a line drive approach. He centers the ball well and has gap power potential. His swing gets long at times and he will get lift. Burba has long arm action across the infield with an accurate arm at 82 mph. He has a solid glove and is aggressive defensively. On the mound, Jesse pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with long arm action and solid arm speed. He throws across his body and needs better balance in his delivery. Burba has a straight fastball at 81 mph with a short 11-5 curveball at 65 mph and a 68 mph changeup. He is a good student.
