Ryan Gibbard is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame from Loxahatchee FL, who attends Seminole Ridge. Gibbard has a tall body with a lean athletic build. He has broad shoulders with a nice frame. Gibbard pitches from and over the top arm with a long arm action. He looks to pitch away from contact which causes him to go deep in the count more often than he'd like. He works down in the zone and he drops his head in his mechanics. Gibbard throws a big curveball with loose spin. He also throws a straight change that has a chance to become a solid pitch. At the plate, Gibbard starts with a square stance and he keeps the barrell on a line drive swing path. His hands work well in his swing which helps him to keep his hands inside the baseball. Defensively, Gibbard has quiet actions and his feet work well. He has nice hands with projectable arm strength.
