Deren Rehr-Davis is a 5'8" 150 pound 2006 catcher, outfielder, and right handed pitcher from Piedmont, California who has a strong compact build with good strength and room to add some muscle. During the workout, he ran a 8.01 60 with a 2.14 pop time to second base at 72 mph. Deren has good hands and footwork behind the plate with a very quiet target for pitcher. At the plate, he shows good hip rotation and raw power. He has good bat speed with a wide base and no stride. Rehr-Davis like to sit on his backside and try to lift the ball in the air. He saw some time on the mound with a 78 mph fastball and 70 knuckle that had some late dance to it when he released it correctly. He threw from a low 3/4 arm slot and a compact arm action. He has decent arm speed with a compact delivery. Deren is a good student with a 3.4 gpa and a 22 on his ACT.
