Miles McQuaig is a 2009 RHP/1B that attends Midlothian HS and resides in Midlothian, VA with a 6'4", 200 lb. frame. Miles has a tall athletic build and showed great potential at the plate. He hits from the left side of the plate with an easy swing with very good bat speed. Miles has very quick hands and can turn on the ball easily but also has the ability to go to the opposite field. His power potential is very good at the plate and Miles could be a very solid hitter at the highest college level. In the field Miles has a very good body for a first baseman and should stay at this position over the next few years. Miles throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He produces a heavy sinking fastball that really seems to get on top of hitters. Miles is able to hide the ball well and shows a hard breaking CB. Miles has solid two-way potential but his offensive upside is huge. Miles is a player that should attract attention from the highest-level college programs in the next few years.
