Wolfford has an outstanding athletic body at 6-5, 205 lbs and easy athletic actions. He took a nice batting practice in Fort Myers, showing improved hand strength from the last time we saw him and generating good power from a smooth, fluid swing. Wolfford’s biggest challenge for us has always been keeping his actions short enough to succeed as the game becomes faster and it looks like he’s working on that with the bat. Wolfford has shown us solid average big league arm strength in the past, although he was in off-season shape in that regard in Fort Myers. He receives the ball well behind the plate and works hard on defense. Wolfford is a good student who has signed to attend Liberty University. His best years are still ahead of him.
