2006 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Corey Shea is a 2007 LHP/1B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Hanson, MA who attends Xaverian Brothers HS. He has a lean, athletic body with good strength potential in the future. On the mound Corey throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with a clean online finish and a short arm action. Corey has a solid 1 to 7 curveball and a nice change-up with late run. He keeps the ball down in the zone and is able to mix his speeds up well. Corey is efficient with his pitches and will make hitters put the ball in play. At the plate Corey cat hit the ball to any part of the field. Corey is a good student that should attract the attention of many smaller colleges.
