John Flanagan is a 2007 infielder and right handed pitcher from Boston College High School in Andover, Massachusetts who has a 6' 170 pound frame. He has a very athletic body with good strength. John has good footwork and very soft hands in the field. He has a quick release on his throws and has good arm strength. He threw 75 mph across the infield with good carry. Flanagan hits with a slightly open stance. He does close up before his swing and seems to have good balance. He centers the ball very well and makes solid contact. John is also a good student with a 3.1 grade point average and a 1630 on his SAT.
