Phil Nyhoff is a 2008 1B/3B/RHP with a 6'4'', 170 lb. frame from Fountain, Colorado, who attends Fountain Ft. Carson High School. Nyhoff has a good frame with a tall, lean, and lanky frame. Defensively he has a slinging arm action from first base, and his throws were 69 mph across the diamond. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an upright stance. Nyhoff has a line drive swing plane, and he uses his arms in his swing. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm lost with a very short arm circle on the back side. He uses a short stride length, and his fastball topped out at 74 mph. He also mixed in a 63 mph curveball and a 65 mph change up. Nyhoff is a very good student as well.
