2007 Holiday Open Showcase
Michael Dimitroff is a 2007 RHP/OF that attends The Woodlands College Park HS and resides in The Woodlands, TX with a 6'0", 175 lb. frame. Michael has an athletic build and performed well on the mound during the showcase. He is the type of pitcher that will not beat himself on the mound. His delivery is very deceptive hiding the ball well and he does a good job of repeating his delivery. Michael gets good extension out front in his delivery and gets nice run on his fastball. He has a classic drop and drive and keeps the ball very low in the strike zone. His best off-speed pitch is a good straight change-up, which he should throw more. His curveball spins a little too much and he will need to work on staying on top of the pitch. Michael has good pitchability and should be very solid at the next level. At the plate Michael has a line-drive swing plane with some bat speed. He shows his best contact to the middle of the field. Michael is a good student that will be a solid mid-level college prospect.
