Manuel Delgado is a 2006 RHP/1B with a 6'1'', 200 lb. frame from Homestead FL. He has a large frame and a thick build, especially in his lower half. Delgado throws from a compact 3/4's release point and a minimum effort delivery. His fastball was in the 73-75 mph range and has some tailing actions. His best pitch was a 67 mph change up that had nice deception and movement. His curveball was soft at 62 mph. Delgado tended to pitch in the middle of the plate with all his pitches but looked like he had the ability to pitch to the corners if he tried. Delgado showed good defensive ability at first base and soft hands receiving the ball. His strength gives him some pull power at the plate.
