Nick Amicone is a 2007 C with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Moreno Valley CA, who attends Notre Dame Riverside. Amicone has a medium sized frame with a stocky strong build. Defensively Amicone works hard behind the dish and has good blocking skills. He has good receiving skills and worked well with the pitchers in the showcase games. Amicone has solid arm strength with carry on his throws. At the plate, Amicone starts with a straight stance and swings from a slight crouch. He has a wide base and has weight transfer to the front side. Amicone has a short bat path with a good line drive swing plane. He uses his hands well through his swing when he stays balanced. Amicone looks to get backspin on the ball off the bat and wants to drive the ball from gap to gap. Amicone is also a very good student.
