Adam Dong is a 2007 C/1B with a 5'11'', 230 lb. frame from Woodland Hills, CA, who attends Calabasas HS. Extra large frame with present strength. Defensively he showed solid arm strength from behind the plate and at first base. His hands are soft behind the plate, and Dong made some nice plays on throws in the dirt while playing first base. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an open stance. Dong has a quiet approach closes off his stance well at contact. He has a good swing path and puts backspin on the ball. During batting practice he hit several hard line drives to his pull side. Dong likes the ball in and he will turn on it and hit it hard.
