Dan Williams is a 2008 MIF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Huntington Beach CA, who attends Mater Dei HS. Dan has a lean athletic build and shows an advanced feel for the game. At the plate Dan has a quiet approach with good balance in his swing and a line-drive swing plane. Dan makes consistent solid contact and has nice present gap to gap pop. At times his swing can get a little long and Dan needs to work on keeping his hands inside the ball more. In the field Dan had fluid actions with a good release. His has solid overall actions and should make a quality second baseman. Dan is a good student that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
