Richard Velotta is a 2007 1B/OF with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Fairfield, CT who attends Ludlowe HS. Richard has an athletic build with a little room to fill out. At the plate Richard has nice bat extension in his swing and drives the ball to the opposite field well. He starts out open in his swing and never closes making it very tough for him to turn on the ball. In the field Richard has easy actions and moves well. He looks the most comfortable at first base. He is a solid student that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
