Anthony Powell is a 2007 2B/RHP/OF from Louisburg HS in Louisburg, KY, with a 6'2", 170 lb. frame. Anthony has an athletic build and was one of the fastest players at the showcase. He shows a wide stance at the plate with good balance, and a short swing plane to produce consistent solid contact. He showed solid actions in field with some arm strength and good range. On the mound Anthony shows a solid pitchers body with long limbs. Anthony has a good feel for his off-speed pitches, and keeps hitters off balance. Anthony shows outstanding athletic ability and should attract attention from many colleges.
