2007 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Casey Platisha is a 2007 LHP with a 6'0'', 187 lb. frame from Eagan MN, who attends Academy of Holy Angels HS. He has a strong, mature body, especially in the lower half. Platisha has a big leg raise start to his delivery and throws over a hard front side with a long, extended high 3/4's arm action. He doesn't get over his front side well, which cuts off his arm out front. Platisha was primarily a fastball pitcher and spotted his 74-76 mph fastball in and out and got some running action on it. His 68 mph curveball flashed good spin when he was able to get out front and over it and he mixed in a couple of 68 mph change ups. Platisha is a finesse pitcher who is going to change speeds and locations and could pick up a little more velocity with some delivery adjustments.
