2015 West Coast Underclass Showcase
Caleb Turner is a 2018 OF with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Centennial HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps to the ball and gets behind it well, uses a crow hop and incorporates lower half working through the ball, fields out front, full arm action with extended release from higher slot, shows strength out of hand. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Small leg lift trigger at start of swing and pulls hands back back, short path to the ball, shows some fluidity to stroke with long finish. Starts slightly open and gets closed well, opens front shoulder early at times but has a feel for the barrel and creates contact to all fields. Named to West Coast Underclass Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
