Jake Johnson is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends James Madison HS. Medium athletic build with some present strength for his age. Over the top release point from a short arm circle, high front side in delivery, some cross body on release, creates deception with his delivery, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, occasional arm side running action, locates fastball very well to spots and knows how to pitch. Soft curveball spin with occasional 12/6 downer depth, also throws for strikes and mixes well. Has confidence on the mound and an idea what he's doing. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance with some back side collapse, rotational swing, swings hard, mid to opposite field line drive contact.
