Brandon Brooks is a 2007 outfielder from Desoto, TX, with an average frame and a lean athletic build at 5'10", 160 pounds. Defensively, he showed clean athletic actions and nice upper body flexibility. He has good range in the outfield and a long, smooth accurate throwing arm. He made a couple of nice running catches that showed off his athleticism. At the plate, he hits from a narrow upright stance with a high leg kick and a soft stride. He showed good bat control as well as good bat speed. He has a line drive swing plane, which produced consistent solid contact during batting practice. He is an athletic player with good body control that will gain overall strength as he matures and be a top level prospect in 2007. Brandon is a very good student.
