Jack Cress is a 2014 1B/RHP with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Paul Laurence Dunbar. Large, mature frame with present strength. Ran a 7.77 60 yard dash. Moves well on feet at first base and has lateral agility. Shows soft hands on ground balls and good arm strength on his accurate throws. A right handed hitter with a wide base and high hands/high back elbow set up. Sound approach at the plate. Gets barrel through zone with some lift. Right handed pitcher who worked a quick inning on mound. Throws easy from a high three quarter arm slot with long arm circle in back. Balanced, online delivery. Worked 78-80 mph with fastball and flashes an 11/5 curveball at 68 mph.
