David Acevedo is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Maplewood, NJ who attends Columbia. Medium build pitcher with some present strength. Medium kick, slight grab in back. Short stride length, stays upright and throws on uphill plane, Extended 3/4 slot, grab in back, hides ball with arm action. Mostly fastballs, showed curveball with 1/7 break and straight changeup. In the outfield, quickness in feet, long arm action in back, comes thru ball. Left handed hitter, stays inside of ball. Loopy swing, pulls off of ball. Good student.
