Patrick Maston is a 2016 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Solon, IA who attends Solon HS. Medium build, has some present strength, young athletic look. Right handed hitter, low hand start, tends to hit from under the ball, moves into contact well, good hand quickness and creates some bat speed, uses hands to hit and looks to pull, ball jumps at times when squared. Moved well in the infield when he kept his knees bent, tends to get too straight up, rotational thrower with developing arm strength. Also pitched, on line delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot and good looseness out front, projectable arm action, mid-70's fastball, occasional cutting action, soft curveball and straight change up. Good student.
