Juan Perez is a 2015 SS with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Colegio San Felipe HS. Tall, athletic, lean build with more room to fill out. Ran a 6.98 60 yard dash. Shows a strong arm across the infield but needs to stay under control. Projects to continue improving defensively. Stays balanced and shows hands for shortstop. Bats right-handed, works from a wider base and takes an aggressive swing. Flashes lift to his pull side and stays under control. Squares the ball consistently and uses his lower half well. Good student.
